Teresa Maone is primarily a representational oil painter, although she likes exploring other media and styles. For the first half of her life, she played, studied, and worked in New York City, earning a BA in Fine Arts, an MA in Psychology, and a PhD in Neuroscience and working as a designer, a counselor, a researcher, and an educator. She later moved to Princeton, NJ to continue work and to raise her children. All the while, she continued to draw, paint, and study art. After retirement, she returned to painting full time. She recently moved to Colorado and became a member of the Littleton Fine Arts Guild. Teresa has shown her work in many juried art shows and has won several awards. She has also painted many commissioned portraits and always enjoys the challenge of capturing the likenesses and personalities of the people and pets she paints.
