Pastels
After college and a whole lot of travel, I moved to Colorado from New York City because I fell in love with Switzerland. (Yep.) I’ve always loved drawing and painting, which I integrated into life in random spurts as I raised my family.
My career was in corporate instructional design and training. I started integrating graphics and illustrations into my training to help learners “get it” faster because they could “see it.”
This next chapter in my life is about an intentional focus on painting and drawing. I love the vibrancy (and messiness) of pastels. The brilliance of the pastel medium is one of the best ways I can paint and express what I see and feel when surrounded by nature.
My passions – painting, drawing, hiking and road cycling – keep me connected to the outdoors. Whether I’m taking photos or just storing images in my mind, those images along with the feelings I get fuel my paintings. Plein air…it has a strong attraction to me. It sometimes entices me to add a touch more color and magic to what’s really there. I hope what I see will bring you joy and delight!
