Photography
I’m a career photographer who began my work in daily newspapers and have since gone on to create photography in corporate, industrial, literary and personal settings. Share Red Rocks, focused on Denver’s Red Rocks Amphitheater, is my most recent project, but I’ve also had many nature and travel photos published over the years. For instance, I had numerous scenic Colorado photos published in a John Fielder/Westcliffe Publishers book.
As noted, I worked in daily newspapers and have since done freelance and other journalistic-based work, including years of producing photography for an employee magazine and other publications at a Fortune 500 company. I also have authored 11 books, many of them by New York publishers, and have had my photography included in several other books, including Backpacking and Camping in the Developing World, Adventure Travel in Latin America (both by Wilderness Press, Berkeley, California), and The Colorado Weather Book (by Westcliffe Publishers, Englewood, Colorado), among other publications.
My experience in photography and my love of Red Rocks led to the idea that became Share Red Rocks, an offshoot of a publishing company I started called Windom Publishing. The idea is to combine scenic photography of the park along with unusual, blurred concert images.
On a personal level, my photography includes images from several half-year trips to Europe, Africa, South America and Southeast Asia. I also have climbed nearly 70 of Colorado’s Top 100 mountains and have ventured into the Utah/Arizona desert on dozens of occasions, with each journey involving extensive photographic work.
