Colored pencil, Watercolor
Kelly Almer is a local artist living in Littleton, CO. She has been drawing since first grade, when her parents gave her space in their laundry room to create while listening to the radio for hours on end. She hasn’t stopped since then and loves to bring that same passion and joy to every picture she creates. Kelly started with drawing pencils, then expanded to acrylics, and from there added pastels and watercolors. Her greatest joy was painting her daughter Caitlin’s and son Steven’s wedding invitations and wedding crests.
Kelly returned to her artistic roots when she picked up colored pencils in November of 2024. Her artwork includes realistic animals, cityscapes, seasonal items, and local and international sites.
Kelly is a lifelong educator with Littleton Public Schools, having taught for more than 33 years. She is a two-time professionally published author of books for teachers and a part time instructor for The National Writers Series, in Traverse City, Michigan. She and her husband, Mark, have been happily married for 41 years.
