Judith is a dedicated and accomplished art instructor with a wealth of experience. For 27 years, she was a faculty member at the Art Institute of Colorado where she taught figure drawing and anatomy, painting, design, and color. For over 20 years, she has also been an instructor at the Art Students League of Denver. Additionally, she taught drawing and painting at the Lakewood Cultural Center for a decade.
Judith’s mom, Jane Louise Uren Scott taught her to plein air paint. Jane was the first woman Master pastelist with the Pastel Society of America and was instrumental in making pastels a recognized painting medium.
Judith earned her Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Arts and Painting from the University of Denver.
