Photography

Growing up in Philadelphia, I captured gritty black and white street portraits. I saw myself as a “street photographer”with a strong journalistic style. I continued photographing people on the streets of New York City, when I was accepted as a photography major at the prestigious “School of Visual Arts”. Sometimes life throws a curve ball into your well planned future, as was the case when I uprooted my life and relocated to wild and beautiful Colorado. My artistic vision dramatically changed from the gritty urban streets of the East Coast, to chronicling the vast and mysterious wilderness of Colorado.
I still see photography through the lens of a photojournalist, with a compelling purpose: capture as much wilderness and beauty as I can before it disappears forever. I have witnessed many unsettling ecological changes to the state, driven by climate change and uncontrolled urban sprawl. As a legacy, I hope to capture the unique and diverse beauty of Colorado before it disappears.
